Around 5pm EST today, a large chunk of the internet experienced an outage due to Clourflare DNS going down.

These sites all experienced an outage at the same time leading some to believe that we are under a cyber attack.

While that is still possible, it looks like Cloudflare, a service which hosts a majority of the internet's biggest website's servers, was down.

People assumed it was a DDoS attack, which stands for a distributed denial of service.
